Description
MEu-CO is a fuel-cell type electrochemical sensor for carbon monoxide detection. CO and oxygen undergo redox reactions at the electrodes, generating an output current proportional to CO concentration (Faraday’s law). The sensor is suitable for integration into CO alarms, instruments, and transmitters.
Key Features
- Excellent repeatability and stability
- Fast response for real-time CO monitoring
- Suitable for both portable instruments and fixed detection systems
Typical Applications
- Industrial CO detection (petroleum, petrochemical, metallurgy, mining, etc.)
- Environmental monitoring and safety instruments
- Portable CO detectors and meters
- Fixed-point CO detectors and transmitters

Handling & Cautions
- Use the manufacturer-recommended connector; do not directly solder the tube pins.
- Allow at least 48 hours aging time before use.
- Avoid long-term exposure to over-range high CO concentrations to prevent damage.
- Do not disassemble the sensor (electrolyte leakage risk).
- Avoid organic solvents, adhesives, coatings, fuels, and corrosive gas environments.
- When not in use, short-circuit the two poles to prevent electrode polarization.
