A gas sensor is normally a component or module for integration. A gas detector is a finished portable or fixed instrument that adds an enclosure, power system, alarms, display, sampling path and other field-use functions.
How do I choose the right gas-sensing technology?

Is measuring range important when selecting a gas sensor?
